Look under your speedo head.
Harley davidson electra glide speedometer not working. Remove the speedometer sensor on top of the right rear side of the trans case. Sounds like the speedometer is faulty. If not you may have to change the sensor.
The speedometer needle doesnt go to zero when vehicle stops moving. The ECM thinks that the bike is standing still because of no input. If there is continuity at the BK wire at connector 39B replace the speedometer.
Posted on Jun 28 2009. If there was not appropriate voltage on the W wire at connector 39B locate and repair an open in the OW wire. If there is backlighting enable diagnostic mode and clear codes.
It is FI and does not want to idle when coming to a stop. Also it would cause the SpeedRPM cancel function to fail. You can put the bike into diagnostic mode and it will tell you what the problem is.
The speedometer quit working. Also my self cancel on the turn signals dont work. The speedometer just will not manually start raising with speed and the odometer will not change its reading and my turn signals will not automatically shut off.
